Re: Is your baby head down yet?

Today, by my 33 wk appnt, I asked the OB for the 1st time what position the baby is in and how I can tell by myself. She said now the baby is head down and s/t babies do stay like that if they get comfy
She showed me how to feel around in my belly and when I touch a hard watermelon shape- that's the head. Nothing else will feel like that. However, I doubt I'll be able to tell w/o her help anyway!

Re: Is your baby head down yet?

My 32 week checkup baby has gone from being in a posterior ocipital position to Lateral posterior ocipital. So It is working on flipping around to an anterior position. I really don't want back labor again so I am doing my excersizes to help bring baby into a better position.

If baby is breech you will also feel a "head bobble" at the top. The butt does not bobble like the head. .

Re: Is your baby head down yet?

Baby girl was head down at our 3d u/s on Saturday, I'm pretty sure she's still in the same position.
I have my 34 week appt next week and I'm going to ask my OB to check for sure.

The cat cow pose helps to flip baby to an anterior position. Basically anything you can do that you lean forward for will help bring baby to anterior position.

I'm not sure what positions to use to flip baby head down.
