Buying Beans in Bulk?

I'd like to buy dried beans in bulk (prefer organic). Does anyone know a good source? I checked Azure Standard but their shipping to me negates any cost savings! Thanks!

Re: Buying Beans in Bulk?

I just buy them in bulk through our local natural food store. I had to call and ask them if I can do it and they said, "sure". I think many of the organic/natural food stores are used to having to special order things. And I also got a better deal by doing it that way! Also buying them organic was only $3 more than non-organic! Now I just special order a lot of bulk stuff through them (just call 'em up and see if they can do it... worse they say is "no").

Great idea! Thanks! What size bag do you buy? Do you mind if I ask what price per pound you pay? Also, 3 of us are gluten intolerant so I have to worry about cross contamination. Do your beans have allergy info? I've never bought beans (or other bulk items) at our natural food store because they repackage the items and cannot guarantee no cross contamination. I'm not sure if the product comes in the store without it though.
