Did you ever regret getting rid of something?
Have you ever thrown out, donated, or sold something that later you wished you hadn't? What was it and why?

Only one thing, and it's very random. When DD1 was a baby, we had this musical rainforest thing in her crib. I sold it because we weren't going to use it with DD2, but DH later told me he wished I had kept it. I had no idea he was attached to it, so now I feel awful. I'm so quick to sell things once they're outgrown because I just want them out of the house..hee hee.

Re: Did you ever regret getting rid of something?
Well, I am not "minimalist" but just before we got pregnant this time around, we started getting rid of baby stuff, which was fine. But, I did decide to get rid of some of the "first Christmas" "first Halloween" type onsies. and I now wish I hadn't because they were cute and they will fit this little one. There was one other onsie, it's a white one with light green trim and animals printed all over it, it was SUPER cute. I shouldn't have gotten rid of it until after DH got his big V.

My toddlerhawk with xl straps. I didn't use it very often, and I needed the money, but it was cute and I could totally use it now when my dd is being needy.

Some boyish Mini Boden clothes that I would be using now, but realistically, not really too regretful.

Re: Did you ever regret getting rid of something?
There are lots of stuff that I don't remember but got rid of because needed cash like a charcoal grill and other stuff with it since propane has nothing in it or mom gave it away without telling me and I had no say like a poodle skirt I had which my daughter could use now, old diaper bag that was big, blue dress my cousin gave me that she just gave away.....

Re: Did you ever regret getting rid of something?
There's nothing I really regret getting rid of. Most of the time I feel like when I do get rid of something, I feel much better without it!

Re: Did you ever regret getting rid of something?
There have been a few things that within a week or two I missed and had second thoughts about getting rid of it but now that I think back about things that I have missed long term after donating I can't really think of anything.

Re: Did you ever regret getting rid of something?
The older I get, the less I regret purging stuff. I have found it is worth paying to replace things as needed to have the peace of mind of less stuff to store and take care of. I have really only regretted accidentally tossing sentimental items.

Re: Did you ever regret getting rid of something?
we sold our cordless phone and answering machine 5 years ago (because we didn't need it at the time) and now we're moving and need a phone and have to go and buy a new one.
I didn't want to keep it, but I'm sorry that I have to go and replace it now.dh is adamant that I not sell anything that I'll turn around and re-buy.
