I woke up to a contraction at a few minutes to 5 on May 8th. I had three of them while laying in bed, and on the third one I felt a gush of fluid. I grabbed a towel and waddled my way into the bathroom. I had a few more contractions while on the toilet and then I grabbed my tablet to download a contraction timer and sat on my yoga ball for a bit. I was not at all comfortable there and they were coming very close and hard. I went to go wake up dh, but I stopped back in the bathroom on the way. I'm pretty sure I was in transition at that point, but I didn't know it then. I was really sweaty and hot and felt like throwing up (which i'm happy to say I didn't do) and I know at one point I said "I can't do this!" I finally made it out to wake dh, and he got himself and dd ready while I tried to get dressed. After that immense struggle we finally made it out to the car where I seriously considered kneeling in the footwell rather than sit in the seat. I didn't though. After the longest 10 minute drive ever, we pulled up in front of the hospital. Dh got dd out while I had yet another contraction. When that one ended, dd and I headed in while dh went to park. We headed upstairs and dh met us at the nurses station in labor and delivery. My dr was sitting behind the nurses station and I told him how glad I was that he was there. They quickly got me into the bed, got the monitors on me and checked me and I was complete! I pushed through two contractions and she was out! Samantha Jeanne was born at 6:31am, 7lbs 2oz, 20.5" long. I didn't get to use the tub like I wanted, but I did get my drug free birth!

so out of curiousity how long was your labor? It sounds very fast and intense.

Just over an hour and a half. It was extremely fast and intense!
