Ok so I just read something that just really freaked me out and I wanted some other opinions to make sure I'm not missing something.

On a facebook page that I follow a woman posted that during a routine well baby check up her baby girl's ped told her and her husband that they "needed to break her hymen regularly" and that he would show them how and then before they could ask any questions he took a q-tip and inserted it inside the baby's vagina and made her bleed. She said he stopped when he realized they were about to freak out and that they decided they would not go back to him after that but I think the guy's a quack and they should report him for abuse. I have never in all my life heard about a baby's hymen "needing" to be broken I think this is completely unacceptable and I think I would have probably attacked any dr who tried to do that to my daughter.

Am I wrong? Is there some medical reason why he would have needed to do that? I have 2 daughters and no one has ever mentioned this is needed. I think he's a freak and it's not good enough that they quit seeing him, I think they need to report him to any and every government agency they can so that he's not allowed to do this to any other helpless babies. I am horrified.

Omg. I would call the police immed if I were them and go to the Er for documentation of the incident.

Eta: rape!!! Report that doctor and sue that mf'r (my opinion) but seriously... REPORT this!
