Re: Bedtimes and Wake-up Times

5 and 3 year olds:

I leave their shared room at 7:30pm and they usually chatter until 8pm. They wake between 7:20 and 8am usually.

They both went through a phase where 5:30am was wakey wakey time. I just had to grit my teeth and get through it. I just made life REALLY boring for them between 5:30am and 7am.

Up until about a month ago, they were going to sleep by 7:30 and waking at 7am. I see them as needing 12 hours of sleep, regardless of when they go down. However, it's only been in the past 3 months that later to bed meant later to rise.

8, 6, 4, and 2 go to bed around 8-8:30 and they wake up after 8am. Usually sleep to 8:30-9am.

I can't imagine putting the kids to bed before 7pm. We don't usually eat dinner until 7pm.

Big kids (11 and 13) go between 9-9:30. Little (7) starts bedtime at 7:30 - bath, teeth, story - and is in bed shortly after 8. He takes about 14.3 seconds to fall asleep once his body stops moving. :-) He gets up around 6:30-7am every day.

ODS thinks his bedtime sucks but until he stops getting up at 5:30, regardless of bedtime, it stays that way. lol He has gone to bed up to 11/12 and still gets up 5:30-6am every.single.day!!

11yo needs to be DRAGGED out of bed at 7:30 to get ready for school. On the weekends, he sleeps between 9-10.

Re: Bedtimes and Wake-up Times

DD is 13 months. Her bedtime is currently around 10pm. It is so hot during the day, so we keep her up to play outside when it is cooler. She gets up around 9 am. I love this schedule! She is nice and sleepy at bedtime after all that nighttime fresh air.

I would love to do this. It's so nice here after dinner.

But totally wouldn't work with DH's work schedule. We go to bed at 10, so we'd never have alone time

Re: Bedtimes and Wake-up Times

My 11 month old goes to bed about 6:30 and wakes up about 7:30.

My 3.5 and 4.5 yo's get tucked in at about 7:30, and fall asleep usually between 8 and 9 (they like to talk lol), then they wake up between 6:30 and 7:30 most mornings.

11 m/o goes down around 7:30-8:30 and wakes up around 7-7:30 am. His naps are less than an hour during the day.

My 4 year old is asleep by 9 (our routine starts at 8:15) and wakes up between 8 and 9:15.

Our 10 mo goes down for good at 10:30 and wakes up around 9, with several nursing breaks at night.
