DS is starting to night wean himself, he no longer nurses in teh night but sometimes at bedtime.

He is waking up in the night and crying out of thirst. He is not fully awake he drinks and goes back to sleep.

Is this normal, will he regulate and go back to sleepinmg through. Should he get more before bed?

My dd sleeps with her water bottle next to her bed. She used it a lot more when she was first nightweaning, but rarely anymore. She did just phase it out on her own. The only potential problem is it makes night potty training harder, but that's not that big of a deal. I saw go for the water!
