Re: Baby sunscreen?

California Baby is fairly natural, but it is hard to rub in and is expensive. We use it on kids younger than 9 months, but switch to generic clear spray for bodies after that.

How old is your LO? We use spray too. I avoid a lot due to crappy moles though.
maybe buy some sun protective clothing?

Re: Baby sunscreen?

He's only 4 months...I've heard I shouldn't put it on him this young so I'm thinking I'll just be really careful not to let him go in the sun too much. I was just so unprepared. It's almost never hot and sunny where I live.

Re: Baby sunscreen?

Well, it was cold and dark (winter) when DS was 4mo, but when it DID warm up, we covered with swim shirt, hat, and long swim trunks. By 9 months, though, we were using I think Neutragena, but now we just use spray. I think it's still neutragena. Daycare puts whatever they have on him, so I don't worry about it too much, we just wash very well at the end of the day.

Re: Baby sunscreen?

I just bought the Dr. Mercola sunscreen and bug spray. I know not everyone agrees with all he has to say, but if you want to read the information, here's the link (it's not a referral or anything...just info). http://products.mercola.com/summer-survival-kit/

Re: Baby sunscreen?

We only use all the natural stuff. I would definitely use protective clothing like rash guards and the like. I use TruKid sunscreen on all of us (baby included). It scores a 1 on the EWG skin database http://www.ewg.org/skindeep/product/...2C_SPF_30%2B_/. I also have used California Baby and like it as well. We have used Badger too, but it's really greasy.
