Re: how many night away from the kids?
Claire was 18 months old and it was not by choice, I was admitted to the hospital for an Ulcerative Colitis flare, she was with David for all but one night, she stayed with SIL, Cowmommy on here.

Re: how many night away from the kids?
When DS1 was 5 and DD was 18 months I spent 5 nights away from them when DH had a kidney transplant. It was, honestly, the hardest part of the whole situation

Re: how many night away from the kids?
5 since my youngest was born. I had an emergency and had to fly to florida, and then drive to Texas (was gone less than 18 hours all together, but the biggest portion was over night. 3 nights away with my husband for his birthday (I actually had a breakdown in the restaurant we ate at when i saw another baby), and 1 night just recently less than 40 minutes away.

Re: how many night away from the kids?
The most was 2 nights when I birthed my son and my then almost 3yo daughter stayed with Grandma. She came to visit in the day though. My son is 10 months and just the thought of being away from him for more than 2 hours is causing me some pain.
![]() He takes long naps and I actually start to miss him at the 1.5 hour mark. Not that I wake him up though. Oh no way would I do that.

Once DD1 turned 2 she can sleepover my sisters house with her cousins or with MIL. That has been a few times but never more than a night. Same will go for DD2, no sleepovers until age 2ish.

Re: how many night away from the kids?
DS1 - 1 week. When he was 2 and we moved back to OH my brother came and picked him up and took him to his house in WV for a week.
DS2 - 1 night. Just occasionally when MIL watches them. Neither of them spent more than a few hours away from me until after they turned 2. ETA: Duh, I forgot DS1 was away overnight while I was in the hospital birthing his brother. They'll both be away overnight when I'm having this one. Ahhh, vacation!

Very normal.
Tonight is going to be the 3rd night I'm going to miss DD's (20 months) bedtime and it's making my stomach turn. And I'm just going to a movie. So it's silly. And normal

Re: how many night away from the kids?
Dd was just she of 3 (and still nursing) the first time I was away. Dh was home with her for 2 nights while I had a girls' weekend. At 3.5 MIL stayed with her when dh and I celebrated our anniversary. Starting around 4.5 she has spent 3-5 nights with relatives on maybe 6 occasions.

Re: how many night away from the kids?
DS1 spent a night with my parents when he was 21m, it was a few days before ds2 was born, so it was a much appreciated break.
DS2 spent 12 days with dh's parents when he was a little over two. we didn't have a choice in how long he was gone, it was supposed to be only 3 or 4 days but there were unforseen complications and it was what it was. I spent 5 nights away in March when dd was 13m. She was still nursing a LOT and it didn't affect her nursing in the least. She was with my dh (all the kids were) so I didn't worry.

Re: how many night away from the kids?
My 2 year old daughter has spent many nights at her grandparent's houses (on both sides) so I can't even count how many times it's been, but it's never more than 2 nights in a row. She has a blast though and she's never shown any problems with separation anxiety or anything either. We're expecting #2 in Sept and I imagine it will be similar with this one too if they have similar personalities. I think it's a case-by-case basis though.
