Wool Cost ?

If you have wool in your stash how much does it cost to keep it washed and lanolized? How long would a bottle of wool wash with lanolin in it last if I was just using a wool cover at night?

Re: Wool Cost ?

It costs basically nothing to wash it. I would say a bottle of wool wash lasts a year around here. The cost of maintenance for me is negligible.

You can make your own using baby soap and lansinoh and water. If you at only wanting to use it as a wash vs. to lanolize, I wouldn't add that much lanolin.

Re: Wool Cost ?

I was hesitant to try wool because I thought it would be a hassle to wash and lanolize it but it seems I was wrong about that. Can anyone reccomend a good soaker that isn't super expensive? Do I have to buy both a small and medium soaker or will a medium fit starting around 15lbs?

Same here. I just use baby wash $2.00 & Lansinoh $7.00 and it had listed well over a year and still got plenty.

I would just go with medium. Are you looking for knit or interlock?

Depends on who makes the wool as far as needing size small or med.
