I'm really happy that my mom and sister are comfortable and supportive of me breastfeeding but seriously why must they touch and pet ds WHILE he is nursing? Ever heard of personal space? Gak leave me alone!

My MIL was the same way when DS was born and we were trying to start nursing......she kept telling me "not to be embarrassed"....It's not a matter of being embarrassed, it's a matter of wanting my personal space, and a little modesty until we've figured out how to latch w/o flashing the world!

My mom does this sometimes and it drives me nuts. I don't care if DH or DS do it, but that is it. No one else needs to touch DD while nursing.

If u are a really full breast of milk & baby moves it can spray in face? I heard a marrried into cousin did that 2 her mom to give her space while feeding. You could say somrething or feed in another room?

That drives me nuts too...it distracts DD and makes feedings take forever! I can't figure out how to nicely ask for some space!

Lol, my parents do that too. It's sweet though! They live in a different time zone so when they visit they like to enjoy every aspect of their first grandbaby's life.

I have, jokingly, squirted my Mom before when she kept on distracting DD. We laughed and she did it more just to mess with me, lol!

Totally feel you on this one! My mom even peaks at DD if I have the cover on! Um, hello, we are in public, please don't peak!
