Father's Day for Those That Aren't Fathers?
We have a special guy in our lives.
Longest story to shortest synopsis is, he is not the father of my children. My children call him by his name. However, he does make one hell of a "Dad", IYKWIM. So, on Father's Day, how do you appropriately give recognition and appreciation to the Dads that aren't Fathers?

I have seen Father's Day cards that express that sentiment exactly!
They typically say, "you're like a father to me" or something like that. But I just saw this one that I really like: http://www.hallmark.com/Product/ProductDetails/1PGC5059_DK Enjoy!

That's so sweet! I second the card and you should all go out or something fun! It's wonderful to have someone step in like that and be there!

I am wondering the same thing. We have an amazing man in our lives who treats my son as his own. They do everything together. I can't find any cards that work for us but I am hoping to find something. He is a great "dad" as well.

![]() The card has the guy's name on top, then a picture that you upload, and a background of puzzle pieces. The front inscription reads, "You fit so well into our family." The inside says, "It's true, our family may be one of the best ones around... but you make it even better!" If you'd rather just get something available at drugstores or your local Hallmark store, I know that I always see "like a father" cards for Fathers Day (and sometimes there are even birthday cards with that sentiment). |

There are great cards that would match your situation exactly!
![]() You could also get him a gift. It doesn't have to be a Father's Day themed gift. What does he like? What are his hobbies and interests? Go by that, and get him something that he'll love. That's what the kids and I are doing for SO this year.

You could do "we appreciate you" type of cards
