It might charge your buyers the overage though, and they can't have the package until they pay the change that is over.

Some post offices care too much and some not at all. I've never had issues with FRE but I also don't go to the PO. I put everything I can in my mailbox. But I know a hostess' local PO old her her FRE couldn't be full, it needed to be more flat. There's some poster in her PO about depth which they remind her of.

They were likely making up their own rules. There is no official usps/dmm guideline for thickness. As long as it closes the way it is supposed to, it should ship.

It says on the envelope it has to close and not be taped down. My PO won't let me send it overstuffed to where I have to reenforce it with tape.

It has to be able to close with the tape provided, but you can re enforce it with as much tape as you want.

Re: FRBE - if it fits it ships?

I have sent some crazy stuffed full FRE/B but I also usually drop them in the drop box at the PO...Maybe they are just to lazy to return it to me for repackaging/reshipping!! lol

Re: FRBE - if it fits it ships?

it probably depends on the originating post office. My post office and I have a great relationship and they are super cool. Maybe another one would be pickier to accept, but if the tape seals you are good. I always put the tape because I'm afraid of it opening since it's not like super glue or anything.
