Are you on Ravelry? It's a fantastic concentrated location to browse a plethora of knitted goods. You can even browse the entire profiles of in-demand and successful knitting WAHMs to see the caliber of work and quality types of yarns a seller needs to have in order to have that type of success.

I just started knitting I don't know anyone who knits so I have been using YouTube yo learn lol. Casting on was the hardest thing (so far) for me to figure out.

I agree! I've only been knitting for a couple of years, and I've sold a few items. Probably could sell more if I really tried, but I'm starting to work on some things for holiday gifts and hopefully I can make a little money soon.

My girlfriend got me into knitting a few months back(yep male knitter here) and i love it. Its a very relaxing thing to do during my downtime at home and work. I must agree about ravelry. Its a great site to find tons of free knitting patterns and has tons of yarns listed so you can look up what people say about certain yarns and find substitutes. I have recently modified a pattern i found on ravelry to pair with the soap im making.

I agree, it IS relaxing! I actually crochet primarily but the same concept applies...its so encouraging to make something with your own hands

I want to learn to crochet, but for some reason it seems more complicated to me than knitting.

I tried...it didnt' work I got the first row good but after that it was a mess. DH was amused while watching me though.
