EP'ing and thrush
I'm EP'ing and I have thrush. Do I need to pump and dump or is the milk not going to be contaminated? Thanks!

Re: EP'ing and thrush
No!!!!!! Don't dump that liquid gold!!!!
You do however need to serilize all pump parts and bottles. YOu are so awesome for EPing. I EP'd for 15 months, and it was so hard. |

Re: EP'ing and thrush
Don't throw out the milk! I had thrush while mostly EPing several months ago. I fed DD the fresh milk I pumped, and if I pumped extra, I just scalded it before freezing...I sterlized all pumps parts and bottles and nipples (anything that would come into contact with the milk) twice a day. I kicked it and never got it back...and she has since drank all the milk I had frozen during that time :-)

Good to hear that sterilizing worked for you. A friend gets a bad strain of thrush and she is afraid to contaminate her pump parts.

Re: EP'ing and thrush
Its awesome that you are EP'ing! I did also but was only able to for 4 months. I had a mild case of thrush and I had to sterilize all the parts of my pump it did not come back after that.
