Re: any nurses or doctors?

Undigested food in the stool is definitely a symptom of an unbalanced gut system. I would recommend checking out the book "gut and psychology syndrome" by Natasha Campbell-McBride. There is a lot of great information in that book about healing your child's gut and immune system naturally. The diet in it is, by default, gluten-free as it is also grain-free. The goal is to heal the child's issues so that they can go back to eating normally, and the younger you start, the quicker the process is!

waiting to hear what the doc says... I thought of gluten intolerance/Celiac too right away... BTDT... still there... but we never did any formal testing... we eliminated gluten from the diet & had a new child a few days later... nearly 18 mos ago now. Hang in there!

Celiac isn't scary. It's a pain in the keester, to be sure, but easier than what you are going through now! It's also not a disease, it's an autoimmune disorder. Summed up in a nutshell....take away gluten and you will have a brand new child. For us it meant no more tummy aches, no more disgusting food pieces, sandy poos, diarehha, foul smelling stools. It also totally changed my child's attitude for the better and improved her growth tremendously. Hope you get some answers for your little man and that you all feel better soon.

Re: any nurses or doctors?

well we went to the GI center yesterday and an xray showed he is backed up all the way to his tummy. He has always been a regular pooper but aparently over a long period of time hasnt been clearing himself out all the way. i never thought of that because he poos every day, everyother day atleast. just hasnt been enough. he is backed up thro both sets of intestines all the way to his tummy so his food sits in his tummy longer than its supposed to which causes him to not want to eat sometimes...they gave him an enema at the clinic which i have to do daily at home for a week eek. he is also on a mild perscription laxative so help clear it all out. in the meantime i am pumping up the water intake and fiber around the house and going to keep it that way in hopes he will start to get it all out when he goes...thanks for all the support ladies! hopefully it was nothing i did wrong!
