Diagnose me! (Or my RS...) Pic added.

Thanks for any tips! This is the first time I ever put the bear into the ring sling, so I would love advice.

ETA, I was tapping the mirror trying to get her to look there, hence the leaned forward silly face.

Re: Diagnose me! (Or my RS...)

He looks pretty good, I can't see his other leg but make sure that the bottom rail is all the way up near his knees. Personal preference for me is to spread the sling over the shoulder so it doesn't strain my neck but I do pull it up towards the top more so that I have better range of motion in my arm. You guys look so cute! I love the expression on LO's face "are you lookin' at me?"

exactly- just make sure the fabric is way up under his bum and legs, with knees above his bottom. I would move the shoulder a bit further from your neck too

Thanks! I'm excited because I'm actually liking this one. I had a zolowear that I wasn't a fan of.

Re: Diagnose me! (Or my RS...)

I have two suggestions. First, as others have mentioned, I suggest trying to keep the shoulder of the sling more towards the shoulder and less towards the neck. I keep it just barely capped on the shoulder to allow full range of motion in my arm but not to pull on my neck. Going along with that you want to make sure it's evenly spread so that there's not too much pressure on any one part.

Second suggestion is that he seems to be sitting part way in front and part way on your hip. For long wearing sessions, like a couple hours at the zoo or whatever, I suggest trying to decide one or the other. For ME with a little one that is older like that I find actually sitting the toddler on the hip works best. In front is fine too, but if the little one is just kinda half way like he is, it's kind of an un natural/off kilter weight distribution and makes me uncomfortable.

I will try out the suggestions when the ringsling comes off the clothesline! Thanks for your suggestions. I may post another picture on this thread later today.

Re: Diagnose me! (Or my RS...)

OP's little one is a girl, I think.

She looks like she's gonna be happy in there! I agree w/pp who said to spread out the sling a bit more on your shoulder. It'll help distribute the weight. Also, make sure it's pretty well spread on your back too (though spreading the shoulder out will help with this).

She is a girl, but the advice was good even if she were a boy.

I'm not sure how to get the rings higher... I had them almost over my shoulder.
