Please tell me I have enough cloth...

I am nesting and kinda freaking. We didn't become a cloth family until after my daughter was born. Therefore I have never had a cloth pregnancy, recovery or cloth diapered a newborn. I am hoping you ladies can let me know if I have enough of everything. I'd really appreciate it

Diapers:
10 DD's
4 NSFW
3 Indian prefolds
2 dozen flats
2 gerber prefolds
5 bamboo inserts
2 organic cotton inserts
3 wool covers
5 fleece covers

A dozen wipes which I know I need more of but might just buy wash rags. Another dozen be enough?

Previous to me making a newborn stash I made two dozen small diapers and 5 fleece covers in every size. So I know I am covered after the newborn stage.

For me:
8 post postpartum pads
dozen lighter pads
6 sets of hemp nursing pads
about a dozen cotton (hoping to get away with doubling as I am allergic to plastic fabrics)

I am hoping I am done. Sitting at the sewing machine hurts my back these days. TIA

I would do 54 wipes. I have 60 and it doesn't look like enough. You could get the terry baby wash cloths...look at garage sales and resale shops. Diapers wise you look well prepared.

Re: Please tell me I have enough cloth...

When you say "3 indian prefolds" do you literally mean 3, or 3 dozen? The flats and 10 DD newborns *should* be plenty, but if you end up not liking the flats for the newborn stage you're gonna come up short. If you have the time or energy I'd personally made another 10-12 DDs (I'm assuming this means Darling Diapers?).

Also, I only see wool and fleece for cover options. I'd probably pick up or make a couple PUL covers just to have on hand.

I def. think you don't HAVE to get anything else, but the above is what I'd do if it were me. Good luck!!

Ok. I wasn't sure on wipes as I chickened last time and used disposables. Thank you

Thanks for the advice. Yea, just 3 literally. I resold so many prefolds and am regretting it now

I was thinking more darling diapers would be nice. My husband looks at me crazy when I say this. Probably because I raided his tshirt collection for a few, haha.

I've gotten lots of the fabrics for diapers from goodwill. I like cotton knit bedsheets and sometimes use Tshirts. I just finished 6 diapers last night. I'm going to have to look up the darling diapers pattern. I designed my own for NB/smalls and they look awesome!

Oh and I definately agree on the wipes. Not only are they great for baby's butts, they work really well for runny noses.

I have about 4 dozen wipes. I figure at least 3 per diaper change, X 12 changes, X 2 days + extras. Those early poops are explosive and get everywhere!
