Unhappy Miscarriage question (tampon vs pad?)

I know you're supposed to wear pads during a m/c but do you think it would be okay to wear a tampon for just a little bit?

I promised the kids we'd go to the pool today but now I'm bleeding like a stuck pig (m/c started overnight, not diagnosed but I tested BFP on Monday and now I'm bleeding so I know what that means)...anyway, would it be okay to wear a tampon just while we're at the pool? I can't stand just sitting around the house being depressed...I'd rather go play at the pool with my living babies

I don't think I would. You're going to also be passing clots and a tampon isn't going to help with that.

And I'm so sorry for your loss.

I agree with this ^^ I've had two mc's and the pool is the last place I'd want to be while that is going on (just my)

Re: Miscarriage question (tampon vs pad?)

I just feel bad ruining the kid's fun...it's soooooo boring at our house...they can't even play with most of their toys because there is only space upstairs and there is no a/c up there and it's 95* up there (literally)...and I promised them we'd go to the pool today...I hate breaking my word. They're going to be so upset.

Honestly, I'd rather get out and do something vs sit around and stare at the wall...

do you have a splash park nearby? That way you could just watch them play in the water. I am sorry.

No splash park...the pool has a splash-park-ish on one section but the kids would never stay in that area (it's very very small) and they pool still requires suits to enter.

Well I was thinking you wouldn't have to get in the water so you could wear a pad with your suit and some shorts or whatever.

Re: Miscarriage question (tampon vs pad?)

During a m/c, I'd be staying home. You never know when the bleeding cramping is going to pick up. If your kids are bored, do some sort of crafty thing, play games. If you are feeling bad about going back on your word, explain to them that you are not feeling well and have to postpone your pool outing. They may be upset about it, but I think they'd be more upset seeing their mom getting sick and bleeding at the pool.

Sorry you are going through this mama

Could you let them play in a sprinkler in your yard?

So sorry for your loss mama {{hugs}}
