I just use baby wash cloths. I get a couple wet in the sink before changing a poopy dipe. I think I got them at Walmart 4 or 6 for $1. They are single layer terry. I also have some double later flannel I just put 2 pieces of flannel wiring sides together and used and over lock stitch. Easy peasy.

Re: talk to me about Cloth Wipes!
I have a bunch of wipes. I think like 60 some odd wipes? Somewhere around there. But then again, I use them on 4 kids.
I have a mix of Sweetbottomsbaby Boutique's own brand of wipes, a few WAHM made wipes and Kissaluvs wipes. I keep them dry, in a stack by the changing table. When I need to use them I spritz the baby's bottom with a spray bottle of wipe solution and wipe, then toss it in the diaper pail. I wash every 2 days along with the diapers on cold rinse, hot/cold heavy wash, and dry in the dryer on medium-high.

Re: talk to me about Cloth Wipes!
I think it really comes down to personal preference and what works best for you. There really is no tutorial to using wipes. I have collected an assortment over the last 4-5 years and there are some that I prefer for poops, some I prefer for EBF poop, others for toddlers etc. So I would get some different kinds.
I personally prefer to keep them dry and then wet the bottom or the wipe as necessary. I either just wet them with warm water under the faucet or use a spray with EO for messier changes. It's just easier and quicker for me to do it that way. I keep a basket in the bathroom, one with the diapers and another stack in a little bag in the diaper bag.

Re: talk to me about Cloth Wipes!
I made my own with some flannel. double sided, turned and topstiched. and then i use a little spray bottle with water, a drop of baby wash and a little splash of witch hazel. Squirt the bum and wipe it off. cheap and easy
![]() I may try to make a few that are one side flannel and one side terry, since i've heard lots of people like the terry wipes.

Re: talk to me about Cloth Wipes!
I just have a stack of cotton baby wash clothes. The micro terry grabs the junk but is gentle on the booticus. I just wet it down in the sink with water, but if her bottom is stinky after, I'll use a tiny touch of baby soap and then rinse.

Re: talk to me about Cloth Wipes!
I was using baby washcloths at first, but I now have made my own flannel ones.. It was super easy to do.. I have been told that minky are really awesome to use..
You can store them so many ways, dry (and get whet when needed) dry and use a spray bottle, store them wet in a container..Also store them in a wipes warmer ![]() There are also many variations for wipes solutions.. You could try a bunch to see what works for you.. If you don't want to make your own you could always buy wipe solution cubes or just use plain water ![]() Google it and you will find lots of answers! My son is very sensitive so if it's just pee, I just use water..If he poos I use a mix of water and a very small amount of baby soap (Live Clean) I love, love using my cloth wipes! But if you use them to wipe up any non cloth safe ointment make sure you don't was them with your diapers.. |
