Re: At what age did your child stop wearing a bib?

dd is 3.5 and mostly doesn't wear one, but sometimes she still asks for it. she has a couple of the waterproof kind for messy stuff like spaghetti, popsicles, etc.

I don't remember exactly, but I know it was before she turned 1....not by my choice, but she would just rip them off every single time. I finally just either fed her in old cloths, naked (with a dipe), or didn't worry about it if it was a non-staining food.

We didn't really use bibs either. DS hated them and I really didn't like them either.

We don't usually use bibs...we usually take their shirts off... so much easier to just wash THEM off. Plus, less laundry!

Sometimes we use them though but rarely. My 3.5 yr old isn't that messy any more though.

Around 9 months. If we do something messy we just take off their shirts.

Re: At what age did your child stop wearing a bib?

We actually started bibs later than most. We didn't really start using them until about 9 or 10 months because they were SO messy before then that they got it all over their clothes anyway, so there was no point in cleaning a bib, too. Then after they got a little less messy we started using the bib and are still using it for most meals at 24Months.

Bibs seem to distract babies and my first hated them so, we don't use them. I just keep a clean shirt around.

If we are home and its messy they go shirtless.

But if we are at a restaurant and its messy I have some in my purse. We only use them like once every 2-3 months

We still wear a bib (20 months). She will wear a bib until she isn't so messy, which I do not see happening anytime soon.

just wanting to add that I have never understood the bibs for drool. I think they look STUPID!!!

ETA: she goes shirtless/bibless at supper since she's going straight into the bath anyways.
