Diaper Swappers

My 7 year old just finished first grade. I was cleaning the piles of papers out of his back pack and found a post it note with a phone number on it so I asked him about it.

His answer, "It's Abby's phone number. She gave it to me."

I asked him whether he asked her for it or if she gave it to lots of friends.

"No,I didn't ask. She just gave it to me. Nobody else. I am supposed to call her every week on Monday. I am putting it on the fridge so I can call her and we can have a play date."

I have been hearing about Abby for months! He has the cutest 1st grade crush on her. He has even refused to get a haircut for months because "Abby likes Justin Bieber and so if I have hair like him, she will like me." His hair is longer than it's ever been and he even takes the time to try and brush it in the morning. I guess his hard work paid off and we'll be calling Abby this summer.

My only concern is that Abby might be a bit controlling...but she seems like she knows what she wants!

Oh my goodness that's the cutest thing ever from a 7 year old

I just hope my 5 year old doesn't get a stack full of numbers when he starts kindy in the fall.

He was quite the ladies man in prek

Oh that's so sweet! My 1st grader came home and told me about his "favoritist" girl (who had apparently replaced another) - he has a thing for strawberry blonds with freckles! 3 in a row now!
