The colored edges often refer to Green Mountain Diapers sizes. Orange is newborn, yellow is small, red is medium etc. Other diaper brands use different colors for their sizes. We love our GMD but also love Imagine brand, which is a little cheaper and equally absorbant. HTH!

Re: Prefold users

Yup just indicates size. Kinda like a tag in a shirt. Except of course now they are required to attatch tags to the diapers.

The Indian prefolds from Cotton Babies are very affordable and so incredibly soft and absorbent. However, we have the premium size, and they are too narrow to snappi around my 11 month-old and are super long. I love how soft they are but wouldn't buy them again since I love to snappi

Hello there,

I have the Indian prefolds from Cotton Babies as well and I'm thinking they are to narrow also. I can snappi them but it seems rather tight and also I suspect they might be making my son uncomfortable. But then again, maybe I'm imagining it. What do you use now instead of the Indian prefolds?

I actually just bought a dozen GMD large prefolds from the seconds sale, and I don't have to fold down the rise! I love them, and it's very easy to snappi. I also have large Diaper Rite prefolds from Diaper Junction. Both are great! She could probably fit into mediums in either brand, but it would be snug. She's about 23lbs.
