Re: what would your future stash be knowing what you know now....?
It only took me diapering 2 kids and trying out 100 different diapers, but I think I've got it figured out.
Newborns/smalls - prefolds, covers and Thirsties duo size 1 pockets. Thereafter - BGE's, plus a few Flip Organic prefolds & covers for night time. And then - Motherease AIO's for when the BGE's are outgrown. They function somewhat like a pull up, too.

Re: what would your future stash be knowing what you know now....?
I accumulated so much from DS, and find that OS really fits after nb, so I have way too many. I'd pare it down to the following:
NB I'd stick with simple- 36 gmd organic prefolds, 6 bsww nb. SM and up I'd always want 12 prefolds to snappi (gmd organic yellow, red, brown) and have 12 flats to supplement and 6 BGE for easy. I'd keep the 2 dappi nylon in every size and get 4 bsww in sm and med. I'm keeping 14 bg organic aplix for nanny but we may not need more than 2-3 for sitters (if daycare provides or uses trainers at 18 months). For night, I am loving the ease of flip organics so I'd get a day kit which gives a few extra for daytime. I'd also have 1 disana wool in sm, med, and lg for the nights I feel like snappying a prefold or flat. For doublers for flats or night, I am happy with 6 hemp babies (2 sm, 4 lg) and 6 preemie prefolds.

I would start EC sooner and thus would have a smaller and simpler stash.
Some ME Sandy's, some Thirties hemp prefolds with Gen-Y covers, some fleece longies, and a few AIO's (Tots Bots most likely) for going out. |

i'd probably get all simplex or tots bots. i started with aios. then went through the other types of systems a few times and i think in the end, i like aio's best. we are on to trainers which are proving equally as difficult to find what i like.

Re: what would your future stash be knowing what you know now....?
Probably just what I have - mostly Diaper Rite flats and Flips. Maybe a couple hemp or bamboo prefolds. If I was starting ALL over again a few years in the future with a new baby (not likely lol) and my current littles were out of diapers...I'd still go with simple. I really like that they are so low maintenance, cheap and trim. I'd just make sure to get PLENTY of covers so they are ready to go on like an AIO.

Probably a mix of BGEs and Tots bots, with fitteds and wool for night, and flips for traveling.
Which is pretty much what I have now...does that mean I am close to stash nirvana? Guess it's time to destash the extras!

Re: what would your future stash be knowing what you know now....?
2.5 dozen prefolds (I think of each size - I'd buy nb, sell 'em and buy med. etc)
1 dozen covers (I haven't tried enough to know what kind I love yet... but not chubby cheeks) 1 dozen pockets/AI2's for babysitters

Re: what would your future stash be knowing what you know now....?
Working on converting my stash to this
10 MEOS for 2 kids to be coverless at home when its hot etc.. 6 scuttlebutts and 5 gen-y large classics for my toddler (naked at home for PLing) 24 OS pockets..still unsure of what brand. I want to try FB's and Kawaii...and I want to love them 2 flip covers + 6 bamboo prefolds + fleece liners for nightime (only if pockets don't work for us overnight)
