me too!! Every wash! It gets rid of all the pee smell in my kids' sheets and pjs (I am SO over the bed wetting) and the mildew smell out of the towels!

Check your manual for cleaning instructions. We have to wipe down the rubber seal and let it air out after every wash. Pry open the rubber seal to check for gunk. There is also a lint trap to check and additional water in hoses to empty if u have stinkies do that before running the cleaning/sanitizing cycle.

Never. Honestly it never occurs to me. Like pp said, everything coming out of it is clean, so I guess it is too!

I run the cleaning cycle once a month, as per the instruction manual.

We have a front loader & I never wash my washer. However, I do leave the door open so it can fully dry when not in use.

I also wash our diapers on an Extra Sanitary cycle which is on our Bosch washer, so that probably helps keep it clean.

We actually did get build-up with powder. That was according to our washer guy who came to figure it out while it wasn't draining. I was using a full scoop of powdered Tide in every load. Um...I don't do that anymore.

Well yeah if you use more than the washer can handle it'll do that.

And if it's not he then that too can cause build up.

I just leave the door ajar on my FL and use bleach regularly. I figure it's all good.

Same here. I leave the door open too.

I do find gunk in the big rubber seal on my FLer, I wipe that out when I see it but that's it. Its been clean and going strong for 6 yrs now.
