I made sure I had a lot of posts before I ever started buying and selling but I can understand if all someone ever came to DS for is to start their stash or sell their stash. I guess we all have to start somewhere, you know?

I spend way too much time reading the Transaction and Feedback Discussion threads -- and I have learned there are way too many people out there who are willing to be scammers. "I bought these diapers from you and they stink!" "You said these were in EUC and I think they are only in GUC." Anything they can try to do to get a partial refund. Definitely makes me nervous to sell to someone with no feedback.

Yep, but I know at least 5 cloth diapering ladies that have no idea what diaperswappers is. You can start plenty of places if you don't want the chit chat.

Doesn't make me very nervous to sell to someone new. I feel like as long as I get DC and have represented items well I'm ok. I trust the mods to be able to help in case of emergency. That being said it does bug the heck out of me when someone with 2 posts, no avi, nothing, starts selling right out the gate. And with no pictures. I wouldn't consider buying from them. Before I started selling here I bought a bunch and posted. I wanted to look legitimate and trustworthy.

And fwiw, the only bad experience I had as a buyer was with a seller with thousands of posts and hundreds of positives.

Eta: I lurked for months before I even registered. I feel like its a good idea to get a feel for a board before participating but I'm uber self conscious.

I will sell to anyone. I take detailed pics and go over them with a fine tooth comb and get a dc. I would be more nervous buying from someone new

Have they been a member long? I am leary of newbies when BSOTing but moreso to buy from them as opposed to sell to them.

As someone who has no feedback, I'd love to say "trust us all!", but I totally understand the concern. There are so many scammers out there. In my case, I'm pretty stash-happy, so there's little need for b/s/t-ing, but I do have this fear that some day when I do want to buy something, I'll get ignored because I don't have any feedback. Then again, I've been a member for a while and do have several posts.

Sorry, that was super rambly. My 4 year old is babbling about milkshakes and ruining my train of thought!

It makes me nervous, too... But when I joined I am glad mamas sold to me. I have been a member for a long time but don't post much... I am pretty shy and always NAK, so I don't reply as much as I read. So, I am thankful that someone trusted me! But, I would probably not buy from someone with no posts, pics or feedback.
