Baltic Amber for teething?

I have been looking into an amber necklace or bracelet. I have a 5 month old who started teething over 3 months ago. He's very chubby so im not sure a necklace would work. I was also thinking of getting the necklace and wrapping it like a bracelet and then could have it as a necklace later. Has anyone tried amber for teething?

Re: Baltic Amber for teething?

I got DD an amber necklace after a particularly rough couple of months of not sleeping. The day I put it on her, she started sleeping again. I don't let her wear it at night, but she has it on all day. I forgot to put it on a week ago for a day a half, lots of wake ups, no nap until after I put it back on. Seriously, within five minutes she was out.

Coincidence? Perhaps, but I'm unwilling to stop putting it on her.

I've heard the lighter more opaque colors work better...does anyone know if theres any truth to that?

I've been using necklaces on my kids since they were each 4 months old.

Teething has been relatively easy for us, but I can't say if it is because of the necklace or not bc we never take them off.

I recommend a necklace because it needs to be as close to the source of pain as possible. The stuff in it that dulls pain gets into the skin. We use it for all sorts of things around here ... pain relief, allergy relief, mood swing relief, etc.!

I don't think the color of the amber makes any difference but raw amber works better than polished.

We have gotten most of our amber from Baltic Creations and my friend has just opened Beautiful Baltic Designs.
