Re: Why don't more people do AIO stashes?

I had a hard time getting them clean. I loved the easiness of them (I had BG sized that I could add absorbency to) but I struggled with stink a lot. Hoping that isn't the case for you! I know several mama's here use them with great success!

Re: Why don't more people do AIO stashes?

I've flopped around to a wide variety of stashes....prettymuch the only thing I didn't "do" are fitteds.

We currently have an almost all AIO stash and plan to for our next child, too. I'm reasonably happy with the absorbancy of our BGE's, although they could never be used for nights around here. I know the limit of all my AIO's and make sure to change within that timeframe.

Sure, they take longer to dry, but the DRYER does the work for me. What's 20 more minutes?

Re: Why don't more people do AIO stashes?

The new Tot Bots Easy Fit are an AIO that dries SUPER FAST. I do not put them in the dryer. When I hang them on the line, they actually dry faster than my BG 4.0 pocket shells. So if dry time has been keeping you from liking AIO's, you really gotta give these a try. They are super absorbent, fit great and are REALLY trim. After 2 years of being a total BG 4.0 fan, these are my new go-to diaper.

Re: Why don't more people do AIO stashes?

Not all toddlers are heavy wetters! My two year old son isn't. I have mostly AIOs and AI2s in my stash, probably 90-95%, and I like them a lot. I have bottombumpers, Rainshine Designs, a BuggaBuggaBoutique, and Bright Star Baby. Although, I prefer sized diapers to OS.

right now my favorite AIO's are tots bots, you can adjust absorbency by using more inserts, and they dry super quick as well. I actually just hung mine out in our 90 degree heat and they will be dry in about 30 minutes...

Re: Why don't more people do AIO stashes?

I don't do AIOs primarily because I don't do PUL. For me I think fitteds and woolies are very similar to AIOs because you put the diaper on and pull on the pants or shorts. I also feel wool is easier to care for and lasts longer.

totally agree!! I've been reading alot of people saying you can't adjust the absorbency and the dry time is very long, this is SO untrue with tots bots. Highly recommend.

Now the thirsties duo AIO does have a bit of a longer dry time, but I find if you turn them inside out they dry much quicker, and they have that tunnel design so again, you CAN adjust absorbency even on AIO's.

We also use bamboo baby diapers, they are a sleeve AIO and are SUPER absorbent and quick drying...you can add a hemp insert under the sleeve as well...

there are many different kinds of designs when it comes to AIO diapers...

Re: Why don't more people do AIO stashes?

They take too long to dry, you can't dry them in the dryer if you want the PUL to last so that makes them crunchy, they don't come apart for easy washing. A stuffed pocket is just as easy to put on as an AIO. And my baby needs breathable diapers so either no cover or a wool cover. We use pocket diapers for going out.
My advice for anyone new to cloth is to not spend all their money on one type of diaper right away. What you think you'll like and what you actually will like and what will actually work on your baby are often different. I advise to buy a couple diapers and use them and then if you like them buy more.

Re: Why don't more people do AIO stashes?

Pockets are cheaper, wash up easier, dry faster and function the same when stuffed.
I do like my BGEs though.

Same here. I like being able to have a quicker drying time. Longer in the dryer, harder on the PUL.
