A quick intro

Howdy all!

Just wanted to pop in to introduce myself. My hubby and I will be first time parents this summer so I don't have a wealth of information to share in that department but we are farmers and ranchers and raise grass fed beef, pork, chicken and eggs for sale as well as farm dry land small grains (wheat, barley, oats). We have a huge garden and orchard so we put up a lot of canned goods as well as grind our own flour and malt and brew our own beer.

Wow!! I think you're the epitome of what so many of us here are aspiring to be! You must be one busy lady. How much land do you own?

We have about 200 arable acres but we live in a desert and get about 9" of rain so what we grow is very limited. The rest of the spread is larger but is rugged canyonlands only suitable for grazing. Much of what I personally manage (garden, orchard, pigs and chickens) takes place in the acre or so around the house.

HI! I'm in Oregon, too. I live 160 miles east of Portland. Dh and I keep saying we are going to buy land and set up a farm.... someday. What type of diapers are you gonna do for your newbie?
