It's not fair! Total rant
I have been ebfing for the past 8 weeks and it has sucked. I mean i have no love for nursing at all. I do not carry the gene that has mamas bonding with their los while nursing. I just do it because its better and dh really really wants her to have bm exclusively for the first 6 months.
So at the least i should get the perk.of no.AF BUT nooooo. AF right on.schedule this am. I actually got my first Af at 4 weeks pp but i was hoping it was just pp bleed. Sigh. Oh well life isnt fair. Dd on the other hand loves nursing and refuses a bottle at all. This is just a rant cuz im cranky i got my af today. |

Re: It's not fair! Total rant
I got my first pp af at 4 months and was completely depressed that I wasn't one of those women that can go years without it if breastfeeding. I know it sucks but good for you for sticking through when things don't "feel" perfect.

Re: It's not fair! Total rant
I've never had the lovey dovey stare at my baby breeastfeeding times except when she falls asleep and smiles while still nursing. Thats just adorable! Shes still breastfed at 11 months because its best for her and easy. In the first 6 weeks of her life i watched the entire series of Battlestar Galactica on netflix instant and played a million computer games. I still play on the computer while shes nursing. Plus, those first 8 weeks of nursing kind of suck. Its all they do. But i promise it gets sooo much better! Except for growth spurts after 8 weeks you can actually get some breaks from nursing and the older they get the easier nursing is. Hang in there its about to get easier and better!

Re: It's not fair! Total rant
I had 9mo before I caught the first egg after DD1 so I figured I would usually get that long AF free...Nope! After DD3 I bled for 11weeks and then exactly 28 days after it stopped Aunt FREAKIN Flow

![]() I love stargate! I've seen every episode and all the movies. If you like stargate you'll love battlestar galactica. but on the nursing subject i've only got 1 kid so i'm no help with advice for people with more then 1 child.

Re: It's not fair! Total rant
Kuddos for sticking it out! I didn't, but I let her use me as a paci and I'm fine with that most of the time. I just couldn't handle full time nursing and I didn't get those lovey dovey feelings at all, rather I got anxiety and depression (D-MER). I'm still waiting for them to hit consistently, it's not like what it was though. I do look down with adoration a bit more than I did in the past and am enjoying it MUCH more.

Awesome for you for providing the best nutrition for your babe. It gets easier and maybe even enjoyable. If nothing else it gives me a break during the day.

Re: It's not fair! Total rant
OMG....I could have written your post when DS was 8 weeks old. I will tell you that the BFing got easier, faster, and became less of a chore. I still don't LOVE it. I love that I am able to give him such great nutrition. I love that my body is actually doing something right. But I don't love the actual act of BFing. That being said, we are still going strong at 10.5 months and I am taking classes towards becoming an IBCLC. That is how passionate I am about it now!
As for AF....totally unfair that she showed up for you (and me) that early. Boo! |
