Daily Exercise 6/29/12-7/7/12

Nike runners are so crappy. I'm glad I'm finding more and more people who actually run and don't like them. But they are nice and attractive I'll hand them that.
I've always wondered about the Brooks, always pick them up and check them out when I am shoe shopping.

Well I agree that 5 years is a bit extreme. I plan on doing the 1/2 that is in feb, by then it will be 2 years for me and I think I will be fairly comfortable. But these guys also run marathons...so there's 2X's the amount of preparation for them not to mention conditioning your body to exert that many calories and not go hay wire.
But the way they explained it to me made some sense. If you weren't previously a runner, starting to run, you build and strengthen certain muscles that you didn't use before, requires some time to minimize injury. Never fails either, the second I mention runners knee to a avid runner they tell me to slow down. Makes sense to an extent too. It's just very hard to get to a certain mileage and have to kind of chill out at that point. I know that feeling.

But only you will know when it's too much for you. I'm rooting for you though, not a lot of runners in this world, it takes guts and sweat and sometimes pain! Let me know how it goes....I will be living vicariously through you.
