Chunky Monkey... What CDs work best?

My 8 week old weighs 13.13 any suggestions on what cloth diapers fit nicely on a chunky monkey?

I use fuzzibunz onesize (original 10 snap front tops) with over lap snaps. U could try booty buns & info on them. Bg maybe? Bg seemed small legs to me but it was old one but bigger size to last longer than new fb.

My 9 week old is 15 lbs and I've been using Best Bottoms (small and medium inserts), and prefolds with Flip covers and they both work great!

If you want cheap diapers Alva baby pockets are great for chunky babes. Especially ones with chunky thighs. Also econobum prefolds and covers work fantastic and are also affordable.

Prefolds and MEOS are what keep my chunky boy's thighs happy.

Re: Chunky Monkey... What CDs work best?

Mine was in the top percentiles too. She blew through her Rumperoos in 2-3 weeks, then her BG xs after that. I was building the cutest FB stash ever, but it was sized small and medium. She didn't wear a one. It was very heartbreaking, lol. What worked for her was:

GADS - tried fitted and aio, prefer the fitted.
GMD Fitted (not workhorse) - Awesome fit, gentle elastic, have to use insert.
Happy Heineys, one size up. They seem hot though, so we didn't buy more.
Sandy's Bamboo
Organic Caboose Fitted, loved these, too expensive to buy more
Bamboo Prefolds, because they stretch. Megaroos & Blessed Bee Baby
Nikki Covers, one size up. I have both her Poly and Wool. Poly is more forgiving.
Flips, which she is currently wearing, but I am going to purchase Capris because the leg area appears roomier in pics and I swear she wears all her weight in her thighs.

However, my ultimate favorite diaper is BG Bamboo. They are super soft and absorbent enough that she can go coverless, and the elastic is super gentle. No red marks, even after wearing them all day. And they fit a lonnnng time. She is in mediums now but I can still squeeze her into a small. And they are super trim, which I love, because they go under pants/bloomers without a problem.

What didn't work, with big fat bold underline, was:

Gdiapers - Just horrible. Big, fat gap at her waist or angry red marks on her thighs.
FB sized - If the waist fits, the diaper itself was too droopy
Weehuggers - wayyyyy too tight.
Gen-y - same as above. Both Gen-y and Weehuggers have tight, encased elastic.
Just about any WAHM made AIO
Simplex - fit, but awkward.

Lastly, Disposables:

Luvs: Forget it. Bought once, never went back.
Earth's Best: Nope (dammit!)
Pampers: Roomiest thighs of the bunch until size 3
Huggies: Smaller than Pampers until size 3, Size 3 (and up?) the roomiest of all.

Both my DS2 and now DD are CHUNK and I agree with this poster! I ended up liking Flips the best for both of them and 4.0s are great on both of them, too. But Capri covers are my most favorite product ever! Size 1 still fits on my 2 month old with some room to grow, and size 2 is basically the only diaper that fits my 27 month old now and NEVER a red mark. The Capri cover rocks!

Thanks for the Capri confirmation :-) Where do you buy? I was going to use Nikkis but she is out of stock on most the colors wight now.

Edited my post to add GMD Fitted and sposies.

EDIT: I've been searching for more bg bamboo in fsot and there's a few mammas selling size smalls for very reasonable prices right now, about half the cost of a new bamboo prefold.

GroVia AIO are great for chunksters. My 10 month old 23 lber fits nicely in them. We like the stretchy sides.

Re: Chunky Monkey... What CDs work best?

I've got a few Capris left, but I also really like Sweet Peas (both covers and pockets) for super chnky babies! My DD had monster thighs and these were some of the most gentle elastic with nice and stretchy PUL. Of course fleece or wool covers with a fitted like Sandy's or Babee Greens is great too
