They had tofurky sausages & hotdogs. It seriously was not very good. There are so many options like burgers, grilled veggies, kebobs , etc. Hubby said I make better food at home. Lol.

Re: August 2011 mamas - July chat

Amy I am so jealous of the van and the vegan bbq!!!!

I want a new car soooooo abd but not sure what I want yet and I love my cherokee bc it was the first car I bought myself and I have no payments on it so I want to keep it until it does not go anymore.

I bought it in 2004 and it has 161000 miles on it bc it has been EVERYWHERE!!! It has bee to over 18 states. It is getting to small though. The best though was wwhen we went on vacation to the mountains of TN with 3 kids in carseats and 3 dogs. I feel like we have our own theme music when we come driving down the street--like the bus in 16 candles.

That doesn't sound very good. I would have much preferred kabobs and fruit. At least it was an opportunity for Dh to compliment your cooking!

Re: August 2011 mamas - July chat

I am sad August is here...I do NOT want my baby to turn one! I packed up all her 12 month clothes this weekend, but couldn't bring myself to get rid of
them yet.
Amy, you will LOVE your Odyssey...mine has been the best car I have had for kids.
Can't wait to see all the birthday pics....love the idea of posting newborn/1 year comparison pics.

Re: August 2011 mamas - July chat

We've been out of the bucket for some time now. I hated carrying that stupid thing. Much easier for me to just unbuckle him. We aren't in the car a lot though, and don't get out much, so I'm sure that makes a difference.
Sigh- Well as of Sunday I am officially 38! Feel so old...
Got Vivian registered for Kindi yesterday. She starts on the 16th. Lauren starts yr 2 of 3 of preK a few wks later I think. I am excited!!!lol
Evan is just 11m today!! sheesh! Looking forward to the party pics too though. Just going to have a small party for him. We don't do big parties for birthdays.
Amy- yup- love my Odyssey too. It's an 02, but we bought it in 07 (I think) with 60k miles on it. 10 yrs later we are only up to 119K. We try to keep it well maint. But it's been pd off for several years. (thank goodness!)
Can these babies get any cutter??? love all the pics!!!!
Here's one my mom took a few weeks ago, by her koi pond

Can't seem to get busy today.. dang.

Re: August 2011 mamas - July chat

busy busy here getting ready for our birthday party this saturday. celebrating all three kiddos birthdays with a peter pan themed party. going to have a tinker bell area(craft activity), a lost boys area (meal), pirates area(craft and game), and mermaid area(little kiddie pools for playing).
yes, yes I am a chronic over-acheiver....but only with things involving non-family. my house? ha, you'd think a lazy bum lives here...as I sit lazily on my bum and dork around online because I don't want to try and clean while the kids are playing cuz it NEVER works out in the end. yeah.
I put kezia down for a nap so sydney elijah and I could go outside and work on party stuff, but she woke up only abit later...so, back inside with the a/c. which is alright, I've got a few other things to work on.
yup, look at me go.

wow! that's alot of stuff Naomi! I was thinking of doing all 3 kids bdays together to make it easier on me, but then some family members wouldn't be able to make it down. So I will just do the girls together like I normally do since their bdays are a week apart.

Re: August 2011 mamas - July chat

Aww! Does my baby look as big as all these other babies? Guess I need to get some pics up to judge that, lol!

What a djaflkjda day... ugh! Started at 2:30 this morning when one of our friends decided to text Luke (working 2 hours away) jokingly saying he was on his way over here to party. Well, not so funny. Luke took it completely the wrong way and woke me up flipping out. Yeah, that was fun.

Then I go to drop off the kids and can't get ahold of my babysitter. So I had to have Luke's mom come over and was 1/2 hour late to work. My babysitter had court yesterday morning so I was guessing she's in jail, and yep, she is. No idea how long, though.

Luckily tonight's been much better except for the cramps I have. I think I've figured out how BC works- you just bleed forever so you never have sex. Hah.

Vanessa, I'm not sure your little one could BE any more precious! Omg!

Good idea on posting the nb and 1yo pics - I can't wait to see all the little ones.

Sounds like you're gonna have a kickin party Naomi!

I head back to Honolulu to get dd and dgs in the next couple weeks. We are going to try and have him a party when we get back here. His bday is on the 7th, so his party will definitely not be until after his bday. Dd taught him to blow so he can blow his candle. He looks so cute when he does it!

Hoping all the little ones have happy birthdays!!
