We didn't try anything for DS1. I just wanted a boy first. With DS2 we had stopped TTC as I had given up. With DS3 we weren't trying at all. We were abstaining but gave in one time in 6 months. I hoped he was a girl as I knew he was our last. However knowing the position all 3 were conceived in, I should have known he was another boy.

Nope, never tried and never will. DNot find anything wrong with trying to sway, I just think it takes too much work and dOnt think it works. I have 4 boys.

we tried the shettles method for a boy but it didn't work. We have a beautiful daughter instead. So GLAD too I wouldn't try gender swaying again. I don't think it really works. We did EVERYTHING by the book for a boy and got pregnant first try, but she is all girl. I think it only sets people up for disappointment.

We got O kits and played with timing for our 2nd...we had a girl and wanted a boy too...got our boy! We only tried 1 time too. Got lucky? Maybe. We'll never know!

No, we've always just tried for a human . We have three boys, with the fourth on the way. We will never "try" for a girl.

I never tried for a gender. The Shettles method is not backed by science. The actual studies on timing related to O that are not done by Shettles himself do not show a correlation. Some people believe there is some things you can do to sway with diet and ph and I think there could be something to that but I would not do that personally. There is a message board out there with lots of information on swaying.

Re: S/O Do you try for gender when TTC?

I'd read a lot about gender swaing and considered trying one of the methods when we were trying for DD1, but after having such a hard time conceiving and moving to fertility drugs, we figured we didn't care that much about gender and just wanted a baby.

I didn't TTC with either one, but in retrospect their genders match with when we DTD around ovulation. I probably would have tried to get a boy if we had actually been TTC the second time, but I was planning on waiting another 7 months. lol.
DD was DTD 5 days (yes, really!) before ovulation, and DS was the day of.

Nope, I have boy boy boy. My DH desperately wants a daughter so we might give it a few tries. But realistically, it took 18 months and two miscarriages to conceive DS3.. So we'll take whatever we get!
