Any ideas how to clean a carpet that has

had poop on it? DS tried to change his own diaper including wipe himself while sitting on our brand new carpet. I'm def a "poopaphobe" and want to make sure it is clean and sanitized without damaging it.

I had the EXACT same problem today! I used Bac out and it came right up. Took much longer to change my clothes, his brother's clothes, take the bouncer apart, and change the changing pad stuff.

Yep, hot water and bac out(or another enzyme based cleaner) will do the trick.

I'd use the carpet shampooer on it. But if I didn't have that, I'd use Oxyclean.

Our carpet has seen its fair share of gross and oxyclean usually gets it out.

Had this happen 2w ago. Un-velcro'd his BG and had poop from toes to head, toys, carpet, everywhere in a matter of seconds. I used resolve to spot treat, and then my mom's shampooer.

I would get Nature's Miracle at Pet smart. I had a severe diarrhea incident that I had to deal with at work years ago and this stuff is amazing. It is like bac-out. Very safe for all. Get the gallon jug.

Natures miracle is the bombdigity!! In fact... I need to go order some...

I would also like to say, putting things in your carpet that foam, is never good. My dad is a flooring person. We were always taught to stay away from foaming cleaners on tile an carpet. When it dries, the soapy residue left behind is very sticky. Then dirt will be more likely to stay there ... Just not awesome. Squirt some enzyme cleaner on it and scrub. That got coffee and cranberry juice out of our couches.
