When to put children in same bed?

At what age would you put 2 children in the same bed? My oldest is 2 (nearly 3) and the baby is 9 months. They currently both sleep in our bed. The plan is to put them in a full sized bed together with a bed rail, as I think they are both accustomed to having warm bodies in the bed with them. I know the baby isn't ready yet, but at what age would you move them into a bed together. My DH is getting ready for them to be out of our bed, so the sooner the better.

by 1 I guess? but we co-sleep with our 6 wk old and 2 yr old and aren't ready for them to be out of our room any time soon.

I have heard 18 months for the LO...I can't remember where or why that's a good age though! From what I see, my two boys could definitely be cosleeping (my LO is 18 months), and I think it is a wonderful idea.
When the baby was born, my older son said it wan't fair that everyone got to sleep together but him His bed is about a foot away from ours in the same room, but he moved around way too much to be in with us and a newborn.
He had a very good point...I totally support cosleeping and sibling cosleeping for exactly this reason...why is it fair to stick a little person in a bed by himself when mom and dad get to snuggle?
Our LO still nurses at night, so for now he is in with me, but I'll move the boys together when he weans.

I would say when ever you feel comfortable with them getting in and out of the bed by themselves.

I would say about 18 months for the youngest. That is when we moved DD in with DS. They each have their own beds though. I don't think they would sleep in the same bed if their lives depended on it even though they both co-slept. They also have no desire to sleep with us anymore so maybe that has something to do with it.

My gut reaction is when they are on the same schedule and toileting themselves.

But I don't think it's something I would do despite being a full time bed sharing mama. We transitioned our daughter out from 18 months to 2 years (it took 6 months to get her into a daybed next to ours).

I wouldn't have kids share a bed. They'd never go to sleep! I would transition to a crib and a toddler bed in your shoes.

My boys, now almost 3 and 5.5, share a full bed. We moved them in together last year when the youngest stopped nursing at night, though they were ready To share a bed long before that. They sleep just fine together, and often end up snuggled up together. They have almost all of the benefits of co-sleeping (minus the mama and papa part) and DH and I have more space in our queen bed.

My youngest moved into bed with his brother at around 4 I think (it has been a couple of years now, he might have been 3). I wouldn't do younger than 18 months. My mom had my brother and I in bed together around 18months.
