I have seen some recipes. I will see if I bookmarked them when I go on my laptop. I haven't tried any yet.

Re: Sunscreen
Interesting! Coconut oil is awesome for a lot of things but I have not heard of it used for that. We are using Avon, my sister gave it to me and she swears by it.

Re: Sunscreen
I've been using coconut oil this summer. We are a gorgeous golden tan. No burns, even in peak sunlight, swimming at our lake for 2 hours. Mine and DD's faces did get a tick pink last lake trip, so I should have either re-applied or left sooner. Its hard for my internal timer to work correctly at the lake. Need to invest in a waterproof watch I guess. We do try to wear shirts and hats. the kids have UVA protective shirts. and I have a white buttonup dress shirt I wear in the water and a hat. But I've been completely amazed at the coconut oil. It makes me laugh to when I'm slathering us up, the kids just giggle and like to stick their noses as far in the jar as they can and get excited cause they smell like "coconut cake"
If we're in direct sun, like the lake, we take cool showers when we get home and i follow up with lotion from Naturally Wise with Lavender and TTO EO's. Absolutely love it. I used some Alba kids sunscreen once, and DS's face broke out with such nasty acne I had to try something else. I was skeptical, but it works.
