I am in the market for a coffee grinder but will be using it to grind flax seed only. I need it to be inexpensive and work well.

Any recommendations?

If you have the money, get a magic bullet (or the like) with a flat blade.....the bullet comes with one. I grind my flax every morning for oatmeal and other recipes. It works great for grinding the flax fine and then it makes great flax eggs after it for baking/cooking. Also, the bullet is great for much more.

I see coffee grinders at thrift stores all the time for cheap.

I have an OLD (like, probably at least 15 year old) one-cup krupps grinder. Works great!

I only have used my coffee grinder for flax seed (haha) it's a kitchenaid one. I don't know how much it was though. This one (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS.../chrisficti-20 on amazon has good reviews w/ people saying they use it for flax seed and it is $14.
