Re: Most disappointing diaper buy-used or new?
I had a bad FSOT experience. I traded an old-but-new Hess truck for what I thought would be some nice fitteds. I think she said good or VG condition, but they were AWFUL! The snaps work, but they looked like they'd been through the Everglades and back... or like, washed in mud. Poo stains, material so old it was cracking... I was disappointed. I didn't ask enough questions, by far. I used one once, then just threw them out. It left me
.Looking back and taking them out of the package, the things were worth less than the cost to mail them. It was GOA... gross on arrival. She did give me a few (very, very, used) wet bags too, which I'm still using, but they are ugggggggly, except for one. Now I really just buy new stuff, or in EUC. No more getting burned on bad trades! But, on a good note, my best snag ever was 9 used medium BG for $2 a piece! I am still in the process of getting them converted, but the girl who did them asked me how I got such EUC diapers for so cheap! Anyway, here's a shoutout for Audrey at Simplycloth. http://www.etsy.com/listing/85408758/cloth-diaper-repair-snap-conversion?ref=sr_gallery_2&ga_search_query=cloth+ diaper+conversion&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to= US&ga_search_type=handmade Last edited by BabyNMe_101; 07-10-2012 at 11:32 AM. |

I once traded an almost new FB OS for a HH OS . The inside was so scratchy... I would never put that on my baby.

Re: Most disappointing diaper buy-used or new?
My most disappointing diaper buy was buying two brand new ones&twos from KC right when they came out. All of the blog reviews had been so favorable but there were no user reviews available yet. My then-EBF DS leaked "everything" straight through the PUL as soon as there was anything in the diaper. So gross... Initially the company tried to tell me that I probably needed to use boosters in every diaper in addition to the included soakers, but once I sent them pictures of the leaks they sent me replacement diapers. Guess what? Same thing! Finally they agreed to take them back and refund my money. It was so frustrating because I was just trying out CD and had very few diapers at the time. Unfortunately I think there were many early customers who had the same problems but weren't as persistent as I was.
Overall I've had good experiences with FSOT... just two "honest mistakes" (material for one, size for the other). I sent back one because I really couldn't use it and kept the other because my DS will eventually grow into the diaper. |

Mine was a lot of babyland os that were not that bad, I just didn't realize how much I would dislike that brand. I'm working on my nb/sm stash now and will probably just but new because I don't want to hassle with FSOT and since I use my phone for internet it's easier to go to the library or dd's gma's and use the computer to make a quick purchase or two.

Some very used Bumgenious. Both sellers were upfront about the age, and they were priced accordingly. I hate them! Dd leaked constantly in them, even after new elastic. Could be the microfiber, but I just gave up on them and went back to pre folds.

Re: Most disappointing diaper buy-used or new?
Ugh, so many bad purchases, starting with my most recent: Imagine AIO- doesn't hardly fit DD, even though it says "one size" and she is 16 mos and 19 lbs and NOT chubby. Also hated my Kushies, and have had quite a few diapers that leaked every time I used them: Happy Heinies, Fuzzi Bunz (bought brand new), Kissaluvs AIO- all diapers I will never buy again, and these purchases swore me off pockets.

Re: Most disappointing diaper buy-used or new?
I bought some used OS BG where the seller said the aplix was "used". It was well used! I didn't spend a ton on them, but now I have the hassle of trying to replace the aplix. Pain in the butt.

I got a g-diaper that reeked of smoke once.
The saddest part was that it was in perfect condition otherwise.
