IF AF comes back does that mean I am not producting enough milk? It didn't totally come back but I say a pink tinge today. I am not ready yet...

Re: AF
NOpe...doesn't mean a thing! With DJ, I stopped postpartum bleeding at 3 weeks and started AF at 4 weeks (SOOO not fair!!) With James, I had spotting off and on and kept thinking it was coming back but it would just go away again...AF didn't really start back full force till about 6 months. With DJ, I was concerned when I got it back so quickly (actually, I didn't think that was what it was...I thought I was bleeding!) so I went to my OB. I think she was trying to be comforting when she told me that she didn't get her AF back till 13 months AFTER she weaned her daughter. I'm still not sure how that was supposed to make me feel better but apparently everyone is different and even every pregnancy/baby is different.

Re: AF
I didn't start back with my older boys until they stopped nursing and my DD is only 7 months that is really what scares me the most. Thanks for your help.

Re: AF
No, af has returned for me as well, I'm on #3 ppaf. ds is 4 mos...and we exclusively bf. (well i have given him a few bottles...but he usually right afterwards would nurse cuz he wanted nothing to do with them...) I haven't had any problems with my supply or with ds growing. I think for the most part it just means dc isn't feeding night and day like they once were... I've heard you can get af and then not get it for several more months...
but, the the pp said, every baby/pregnancy is different.

Re: AF
Yeah, that is the wierd part, I DO exclusively nurse. I work but I go home at lunch and straight home after and she always eats from me. That is the real confusing part. She does however, sleep for about 11 hours at night.

Re: AF
I ebf both of my boys and I got my period about 6 week pp with Ayden and with Landyn about 8 weeks pp, and Landyn is only 7 months old and I am 8 1/2 weeks pregnant!!!! lol
I produced more than enough milk for Ayden and I am producing more than enough for Landyn....return of AF does not mean that you are not producing enough milk, just means that your body is returning to normal. |

Re: AF
Depends on the mama and your hormones.
No pp AF yet and my twins are 8 months, but I've felt like something should be coming for a month now, KWIM? I'm just waiting on it, LOL. A lot of people it has to do with sleeping through the night, which I guess mine technically do but I roll over to feed them at least 1-2 times each per night although I don't think they do a full session or are totally awake. So maybe that's it, too.
