Is he confused?

DS2 is 2.5. He has had a Scout puppy since birth and that is his buddy! He asks for Scout every night at bedtime. Recently he has started calling it his "mouse". Does he just think it looks like a mouse?

Re: Is he confused?

DS is 2 and a half and he calls a lot of animals by the wrong name. Ugh little people horses and cows look too much a like!! And a lot of illustrations in books look like they can be one thing or another. We have confusion with dogs ,horses, snakes and worms!! Some times it can be pretty subjective. Kinda like teaching them shades of a colour. There is blue and then there is dark blue and light blue and every shade in between!!
