ITA! I can't believe that nurse, especially in a pediatrican's office My dd is 7 weeks and 15lb 24in. All my babies are huge and DS still is at 6 yo, he's the size of most 3rd graders. DH and I are quite tall, so I'm thinkin' it's all in the genes. I really do think that some mamas just have "whole" milk and some have skim or 2%. LOL!

My dd was just about 11 lbs at birth. The doc and nurses kept commenting on how big she was. I gained a ton during my pregnancy (60 lbs) so I wasn't surprised. You wouldn't know it today though. She is 18 mos and probably weighs 22-24 lbs.
I want to commend you on speaking up about that nurse. She had no right. I know at our pediatrician's office they actual encourage bf'ing especially when the visit isn't going so well. Hopefully she will have a more open mind or she is looking for employment elsewhere.
