Bruising by csection scar?
I had my 4 th csection 5 days ago and have a 3+ inch bruise above the right end of the scar. Its the length of my thumb. I marked the borders with a pen a couple days ago and it has slightly passed the lines in one day so is growing very slowly- no redness, no hardening- no pus. Wondering if anyone has dealt with this before?? This csection's recovery has been the best so far with hardly needing any pain meds. I have the most help so have done way less work than my other recoveries and have been able to rest the most, which makes me wonder why I'm having this. They used sutures instead of staples which is different. Thanks for any info.

With my c section 19 months ago, I had terrible bruising that started ~5 ish days post partum. It was awful an ugly, but it cleared up in about a week or two. Dr said that it was nothing to orry about.

Re: Bruising by csection scar?
LOTS of bruising with each c-section I've had... dark purple and blueish then turning to yellow, etc. Gnarly and very angry looking, huh?

The bruise grew a little then faded away. It's completely gone now- just dealing with ingrown hairs surfacing at 8 weeks postpartum. I read that is a bruise turn black it could be gangrenous. (gangrene- as in setting in to the tissue) surgery is needed to remove that type of tissue. So it's good to get bruises checked out if they look very dark. The woman that got that had a lot of visitors using her bathroom while in the hospital and she feels she got a bacteria in her incision. Professionals feel or happens at time of surgery. Either way, thank God I just had a bruise!
