I guess this can be a flylady thing... My MIL just sent me a message wanting to know when laura's birthday party will be... it's in SEPTEMBER, she's way ahead of the game with her planning and wanted to make sure she doesn't plan something else the same day So, Laura's party now has a date and it's ON the calendar!

* Morning Routine:
-Get Dressed to Shoes including Hair/Face, Brush Teeth done
-Swish & Swipe done
-Empty Dishwasher failed last night and didn't run it - so I got it loaded now and will rerun it after another batch of jam today
-Reboot Laundry (a Load a Day Keeps CHAOS Away) 1 load started, brought up soap bars to make more detergent later today
-Check Your Calendar last day of vacation... I emailed the lady I was supposed to meet with tomorrow at 7am and she cancelled, so I get a normal moring (be there at 8am) instead of an early one! Yay!
-Check Your Control Journal Today I want to focus on the stuff I've been procrastinating:
Call to see about cheaper rate on interenet
Return item to LLBean for exchange
Go pick out/buy prescription sun glasses
Mail NILICO reimbursement paperwork
Start to gather info for FLEX reimbursement (daycare and medical)
Write out next month of daycare checks
Call to rearrange retirement distributions
* What's For Dinner? chicken on the grill - have to marinate it - having with broccoli and perogies
* Drink Your Water working on a 16ounce cup now
* Declutter for 15 Minutes 2 dresser drawers done
* 15 Minutes of Loving Movement (exercise) I weighed myself... I've gained 3 pounds on vacation Argh! I had lost those three pounds the week before vacation by eating well while working... so I have hope that I can get it off in a couple weeks.

This is soooo me! My side of the family plans when we are coming home up to a year in advance (almost always at least 6 months). We come home every 4-6 weeks depending on schedules. My sis and I live far away, so when one comes, we both come to my parents' house for the weekend. My bro lives pretty close to mom and dad, so they just kind of work around us. We are already planning our family Christmas trip that we'll take in Feb or March 2013. DH's side of the family is so scattered. They never plan anything until the last minute and even then it's sort of up in the air until you are actually doing it. I'm always calling SIL and telling her that we have x and y dates open. If you want to see us at DNephew's b-day party, pick one. If you don't care about seeing us, then plan it whenever. We'll inevitably get an email 2 days before telling us a date/time. They live 3 hours away, so it's not like we can squeeze them in around other things. Drives me crazy.

Anywho, I'm glad you were able to get the date set.

I found out this morning that FIL is taking the kids when he gets off work this afternoon. Dh will bring them home about 9:30. So, I will have about 4 hours tonight to get that file cabinet finished and start pricing garage sale items. I'm pumped about that!

Morning routine is done except for drinking my water. I had a glass of milk this morning with breakfast. Better get on that.

What's for dinner? Nothing b/c no one will be here! I'll graze on this and that.

Exercise... it's finally cooled down, so I think we'll take a walk to the end of the street and check out the construction (building a hospital).

you totally just reminded me that I'm doing a garage sale on the 21st and although it's here at my house, I still have to take time to plan/set up for it! All the stuff is just in a big pile down there now.

Oh, and I can cross the glasses off my list for the day I picked out a cute purple and black pair of Kate Spade sunglasses! Wooo! Finally will have something nice for vacation and not the granny glasses from CVS that fit over my regular glasses

Hi, ladies. I have been off the Flywagon for some time. So I am starting again. I shine my sink each night, and have made my morning, midday, night little routines and the weekly lists I should do each day. That's all I am going to do for a week or so until I get back into the swing of it again, then I can add zone stuff and all that.

So far I have:

got dressed to the shoes
fixed everyone's breakfast
done three loads of laundry (our power was out for a few days so I am behind)
unloaded and reloaded the dishwasher (again, behind on that too because of the power issue)
fixed everyone lunch
coordinated the tree crew outside my house, who are cutting up a 100yo tree that fell in our yard during the storm. So now we will have firewood for life, LOL.

Still need to:
vacuum upstairs
swish and swipe all the bathrooms
get the kids to do their "homework" for the day, so they don't lose their academic skills over the summer
pack the picnic dinner
take the kids to swimming lessons
shine the sink tonight
remember to use my face wash et al tonight before bed

Like I said, starting slow to get back into the swing of things.

Sorry to be MIA. My family is here from Michigan but I've still managed to work on my routine for the day. I only need to sweep & mop and I'll be done!

Mission file cabinet is complete!

Before:
2 drawers looked similar to this

This is the drawer I started with, so multiply this x 3 and it will be close to where it started.

The bottom drawer was about 2/3 full of empty hanging file folders. (no pic of that one)

After:
The trash pile


The donate pile (there's a new preschool opening in a local town--maybe they could use the copied curriculum stuff).


The sell pile


The keep pile


The file cabinet drawers currently contain...
#1-warranty info, and user manuals to appliances, furnace, and baby items used in dc (for recall purposes), tax info and business receipts from 2002-2012
#2-one box of receipts that didn't fit into the top drawer
#3-nothing
#4-whole drawer completely jammed full of hanging file folders that I am going to put on the garage sale
