AFM I feel the same way as pp. stuck between hurting and wanting to be done and just not being ready for labor. Not a good feeling. Went to the doc yesterday and I have to be induced at the end of this week. I'm only 37 weeks so it makes me a little sad I have been going to the specialist bc they have been worried about his growth. Well...yesterday they feel he hasn't made a significant amount of growth since the last time I saw the doc so they want to get him out so he can grow. They don't know what's restricting his growth. Anyways thats everything in a nutshell. Any prayers, scriptures, or words of encouragement are needed and appreciated
I missed this the first time.

Re: Ruby Mamas Chat: July 10-17

I've been bad too, I updated this on FB yesterday but have yet to update it here! I'm due the 27th, but I started having contractions Sunday night. It just feels like period cramps and lower back pains, but that's how I remember my sons labor feeling like. I woke up super early because it just wasn't comfortable laying down any longer. I had my 2nd NST yesterday morning and during the 20 minutes I was hooked up, I had 5 contractions. They had to use the vibrator thingy on my belly to get baby's heart rate to jump over the 15 beats increase they were looking for. Well that sure worked, the moment that thing vibrated, she JUMPED, you could tell poor girl was pissed! Her heart rate jumped to like 170. I told the nurse that sadly that's probably nothing compared to the terror my toddler will cause her Well anyways, doctor checked and I was 1 cm and baby has dropped realllyyy low. Since I had a very precipitous birth with DS, he said that if my contractions start causing me pain and regularly occur every 5-7 minutes, head in to see them or head straight to the hospital. Once my water broke with DS, he was born 2 1/2 hours later. So with the 45 minute drive to the hospital, I guess it's best we try to get there before my water breaks, who knows how fast it'll go this time! Otherwise, my next NST is on Thursday.

So I suppose I'm still contracting today. It still just feels like pressure and period cramps. I wonder if I'll stop and start up again in a week or two, or if this is the start of it?? With DS, I never had contractions until I was 1 cm for 6 days then all of a sudden it was go time.

I'm also really torn. I'm soo excited to meet my little girl, but so not ready yet either. I still have 2 1/2 weeks until I've been expecting to meet her and still so much to do. Prepping diapers...I better get on that! Sadly though not all of her NB stash is here yet ;o( They'll be back in stock and ship in a week or two. Eek...I better at least prep the ones I do have right now.

I'm feeling a little out of the loop w/o FB, too. Hope all of the new little ones are doing great and those still waiting con be comfy for this last little bit!

Emma will be 1 week old tomorrow Crazy! I keep hoping w/ each kiddo that nursing will be easier...and it just doesn't get any easier for me!!! Well, I guess that is not 100% true, my 3rd had a tight tongue to she definitely the hardest to get going. We went to our follow-up visit with the lactation consultant yesterday...Emma was 7lbs 12.7oz and she was 7lbs 13oz at birth so she is definitely getting enough to eat...I just hurt!!! The LC had a few tips to try and relieve some of the pain/bleeding and get things to heal, but otherwise said her latch actually looks pretty good I'm beginning to think it is just that my super sensitive skin is just super sensitive everywhere! I'm just glad I stuck w/ nursing when I had my first because I know that once I get past the first few weeks nursing is GREAT!

Still here as well. I dont like chatting on fb so totally out of the loop with everyone.

Have had several episodes of false labor now and pretty much feel crampy all the time. Due anywhere between the 11th(u/s date) and the 15th (midwifes date based on lms) (the 13th is my date based on dtd). Just really hoping she makes her apperence soon, everyday I get more freaked out with thoughts of a big baby. Addy was 9.5 and I would love an 8 lber again!

Evangeline had her 3 day checkup yesterday and she did well She is down to 7lbs 90z from her birthweight of 7lbs 15oz but my milk just came in yesterday so she should start plumping up quickly. She sleeps so much! And poops tons too. It's amazing the amount of diapers we are going through daily. Yay for cloth, I couldn't imagine throwing away that many diapers a day. My photographer friend(Fowler Hill Photography) took a couple of really cute photos at the hospital.

and here she is this morning in her first dress.

This is why I'm wanting to go now too. My last babe was 9.4 and that seems big for me! This baby is growing so much each day, I don't think my skin can stretch anymore! I'd love a 7 lber.

I'm still here! 40wk5dys

Saw my OB today...had my first NST, they were concerned baby wasn't moving much but had a steady heart rate of 130. So did an ultrasound to check fluid and said it looked good and there was plenty! That's a relief! Baby measured 8lbs9oz, they said they estimate a little high just to be safe. So that's reassuring that they won't say "baby is 10 lbs! No vbac for you!" I go back on Friday for another NST. May try to convince him to do a membrane sweep then, even though its not really an appt.

Since yesterday I've had bouts of nausea and contractions. They are usually about every 10min, but space out to maybe every 20-30min. But they aren't too strong. I woke up several times with contractions last night...but def just false labor since it never went anywhere.

Were headed to a.local fair today and I want to walk, walk, walk and see if I can encourage anything. Actually considering castor oil if things don't change tomorrow!

Sorry so many of you are having false labor too. This is new to me and I don't like it one bit. Seems like many of us are having it though.

Tawnya, she is so beautiful! Isn't having a girl wonderful!!

Beth, I was late with ds1 and did castor oil. TMI but my rear end felt like it was turned inside out and it did noting for me. Please use caution if you do this. It was bad and was burning and noting was coming out. Almost like dry heaving!
