The night before the birthday sewing :)

Ahh, I am so one of those types of people that waits to the very last moment to get things done for my family. I always say that I will changed, but

It is my daughter's third birthday today! I finished these at 11:02 PM (which is a record for me, I'm usually up much later making the birthday outfit!).

First up is a doll made by Novia of Simple Diaper Co/ Milk Noir Toys (okay, so I didn't make this, but she is an awesome WAHM and deserves a shout out for saving me with this doll! )

The very last thing that I did last night was to make the moses basket for her new waldorf baby. She has been wanting one!

Here is her birthday outfit-a handmade skirt and an appliqued shirt:

These 6 skirts were actually her summer dresses last year. She stained the tops and they were too short, but she was VERY hesitant on giving them up. So I turned them into skirts

Thanks for looking!

Very cute! May I ask how you do the applique on the shirt? My son will be turning 3 also in about 10 days and I'd love to sew him some things, but never tried something like that

You use something called WunderUnder to attach the fabric to the shirt, and then use a tight zig zag stitch to go around the outside (technically it should be a lot tighter than what I used-but that takes time and it was 11 PM when I was finishing mine )
