Wow that is wonderful!! I'm sure there will be some stressful moments but I bet they'll be the best of friends being so close in age.

Heather - Congrats!!!

AFM - I'm afraid I'm going to worry this entire pregnancy and not enjoy it. This will likely be our last child and I want to enjoy it! We saw and heard our angel baby's HB (170s) via u/s at 10 wks and then at the 15 wk appt there was nothing. Who would've thought I'd fear a doppler so much?

Oh my word There's just really no *safe* time is there? I'm only having betas drawn twice to confirm things as I do not want to repeat the beta hell of my last pg. I think I'll probably have an 8 week u/s anyway though. It makes things so much more real for me.

Re: Pregnancy After Loss Thread

Oh, I'm 10 weeks tomorrow as well. I had a 6 week loss in March which just sucked so bad because my husband was out of the country and completely unreachable. He's been given mandate to not go anywhere for at least 14 weeks. Things are going well and I am as sick as ever...

Heather!!! I am so excited for you!!!!!!! All my fingers and my toes and my eyes are crossed for you!!!!

I didn't crack and get the doppler until 19ish weeks. I kept going back and forth but DF refused and I figured movement would start soon. Well, it didn't start soone nough and I had a slight spotting episode the night before we went to the casino so I flat out told him i was ordering one with whatever money I walked out of there with. Did it and haven't looked back. Its comforting but would probably be moreso in the beginning when I didn'thaveit. I use it now when he's really quiet but my midwife said that's not necessarily an indicator of health. Well, at least he's alive I tell myself.

there is a TTC after loss thread already. Hope to see you back on this side!

Thank you! I'm sorry you're so sick that's one thing I'm looking forward too as I was never sick with the m/c's. But I've got two kids that need me do I hope it's not too bad.

Thank you! I have a Doppler too, i totally get that. Sadly my uterus is retroverted so I can't hear anything before 12 weeks anyway. Been meaning to sell it but it was nice to do.

Re: Pregnancy After Loss Thread

Ugh. How do I even begin to handle this? My uncle just emailed me asking about my pregnancy. The thing is... No one knows about this one so apparently he didn't get the memo about the last mc. What do I say? "Um. Actually I had a mc months ago. But no worries tots preggo again. No biggie. Ps don't tell my parents. After how sad they were last time, I've decided to keep them in the dark. Okie dokie? ". Orrrrr not. I want him to know that he won't be a greatuncle in October but its nice that I have good news to soften the blow but Im not quite ready to share. Thoughts? Opinións?

Man that is tough! Maybe say, my pregnancy is going well but some things have come up that I'm waiting to discuss with everyone at the same time. Just know that I'm fine and we'll talk to you soon?!

Re: Pregnancy After Loss Thread

Found the hb on the doppler. I'm beyond ecstatic!! It was 167-172 so def the baby (plus I spent a ton of time listening to my hb while searching and it was so different).

As for the uncle situation, I'm going to wait a week to respond. That will give me time to think it over.

Re: Pregnancy After Loss Thread

I think I would hold off for a few weeks before responding to your uncle. That way you'll be in the second trimester, and you can tell everyone.
