Re: What's the right thing to do

Blueberry has offered to repair the snap and sent me a shipping label and return request form. I'm assuming they will send the diaper back to me, but can I have her send in the diaper? I could forward her the labels.

Yep, shouldn't be a problem. Just tell her to put your addy as the return.

Re: What's the right thing to do

Well I made the offer to have her send it to BB for repair. I asked her to cover the shipping so I could send it back to her once it was repaired and now she is asking for a refund.

No way I'm refunding since this wasn't my fault. If she wants to send it back to me I'm okay with that and will refund her minus the shipping cost I initially paid. Does that sound reasonable?

I think DS is eating my words in my posts. lol When I edit, it didn't end up like what I was typing. So here is my final edit...

I would have a hard time knowing what to say too because I am a very non-confrontational person. But in this case, I think she's just expecting too much of you. I'm sorry you have to deal with this.

I would tell her you are firm about refunding her but she must pay to ship it back to you. You can resell after it's fixed to someone else.

I'm pretty sure paypal would not side with her since she's washed it.

I know I'm seriously having a panic attack over a $13 transaction!

Here is what I plan to reply:
I understand and I feel bad that the snap broke, but nothing I did caused that to happen. It was intact when I shipped it. I'm trying to help, but I'm not going to put out more money for it. If you'd like to send it back to me that if fine. I will refund you minus the initial shipping cost.

So if she decides to send it back, should I refund her full amount?

I totally understand! I'd be the same way. An unhappy buyer stops my world, which is totally unreasonable, but it does.

Boy, in reality you shouldn't be out anything to her, but I don't think she's going to be happy unless you refund her original amount.

I like what you are writing her a lot. Sounds great.

Have her ship it back to you and then refund her the $13. With returns buyer pays shipping. Do not refund her until you are holding the diaper.

Yes. I agree. Forgot about that last part!

If she sends it back (she will have to pay for the postage) per PayPal, you would have to refund the full amount that was paid.
