Hotslings

Does anyone know what the story is with Hotslings? I have several of the older style ones but was curious about the adjustable ones. When I started googling it, I saw articles about Hotslings going out of business at the end of 2010. Clearly they are in business now - did they change owners? Has this affected quality? How do the adjustable ones compare to the originals?

Re: Hotslings

They shut down after drama around the bag-style sling recall in 2010, but they are back open now. I believe it's still the same owner. I loved my original style sling with my first dd, but I am a little bigger after dd2, so I got the adjustable one and I just can't get it to work for me! Baby girl is a lot bigger than her sis, so that could be my issue, but you also can't do a shoulder flip with the new style. If you liked that with the old style, you may not like the new style :/ The fabric and quality are still the same, though

Re: Hotslings

Interesting. I have enjoyed my original ones but had to do the shoulder flip to make it feel snug enough. I was wondering if that meant that it was too big, so the adjustable one would give me a better fit. Not sure what to do now after hearing your experience. Thanks so much for sharing the info!

I liked the shoulder flip tohelp distribute the weight over my shoulder. I feel like the new AP style rides up on my neck a bit. I'm going to try it again when dd gets big enough for a hip carry. It really is a nice small carrier for the diaper bag.
