what do you put in your peri bottle?

last time around i used hibiclens in my peri bottle as an antiseptic and since my midwives recommended it i thought it would be semi natural but i just looked it up and thats not the case...so has anyone else used something natural in their peri bottle to help their stitches heal?

I think it helped, but I put tea tree oil in it. Just a few drops. with #3 I had 2nd degree tears again, and she waas shocked at how fast I healed.

I used just plain water, then sprayed Earth Mama Angel Baby Mama Bottom Spray on after.

Just warm water. I did use witch hazel pads and dermaplast on my stitches too after using the peri bottle, after 4th degree, 3rd degree and 2nd degree tears, I've got the pp bathroom routine down to a science!

plain warm water- I refilled (sometimes more than once) everytime I went to the bathroom. I also had witch hazel pads. I only tore with my first though (horribly- over 30 stitches, and up into my uretha) Interesting because my 2nd was almost 2lbs bigger than my first, and chunky. I'm hoping my 3rd goes as smoothly as my second. *crosses fingers*

The idea of mixing witch hazel and water seems awesome though (except I refill every time so I have warm water.)

I just used water and then the earth mama bottom spray afterwards but I didn't have stitches. I've heard that the earth mama bottom balm and the spray together work really well for healing.

Mother love herbal sitz bath concentrate was amazing. Add about a teaspoon to your sitz bottle and fill w warm water

I have used this herbal bath mix after my last 4 babies, it comes in my home birth kit.
